Before every appointment you can select from a number of complimentary visit customization options, such as opting for a Silent Service, which minimizes conversation during your appointment, or a Spa Serenity experience with a soothing soundtrack to your appointment rather than what I usually play in the studio, which is neo soul and R&B

Getting juggled by multiple stylists and assistants in a loud, busy salon is about to be a distant memory. Your experience at Serenity Locs and Curls will always be one-on-one. There are no other stylists or assistants taking part in your service, and certainly no other clients because it's only you and I in the space. You always have my full attention, and every moment of your appointment has you exclusively in my hands.

Whether you're looking for something healthy or more indulgent, I've got a variety of complimentary sweet and savoury snacks and beverages on hand at all times to keep you fuelled and hydrated.

To ensure you're always covered, I have all the necessities available in the studio for you. Whether you need a workstation for your lap so you can stay on the job while being serviced, access to WIFI, a iPad with streaming services, a charger for your phone, or simply a cold place to store a packed lunch (assuming you want more than the light snacks I have available), I've got you.

At your first appointment, I'll begin the process of getting to know you by conducting a H.A.S.A. We'll discuss your hair history, struggles, and goals to create your custom hair care routine and ensure the maintenance commitment is in alignment with your lifestyle. It is essential that your lifestyle is considered when designing a hair care regimen so you can feel good about your hair 365 days a year, and not just when you're in the salon with me.

Hair and scalp health is so important, and it's condition can change at any time due to a variety of factors, including but not limited to, the weather, water quality, or your overall health. Before every appointment begins, your hair's colour, texture, condition, and scalp health is noted. We'll go over any struggles or changes you may be experiencing and we'll be sure to address any issues or make any adjustments.

As long as you're a guest in my chair, you never have to wonder how to achieve salon quality styling at home. My mission is to set you up for success, so while I'm sure we will spend much of your appointment chatting about life and the new restaurant that just opened up, hair education will never be overlooked.

We will start with any needed scalp treatments for dandruff, hair loss or a scalp detox. Followed by your choice of aroma therapy with micro mist and a thorough shampoo at least two washes.

During the deep conditioning / Hot oil treatment stage of your shampoo experience, firm pressure is gently focused around the hairline, temples, base of the skull, and neck to ease tension and enhance relaxation. Your hair will also be gently detangled (not locs). Mood lighting, warming eye mask and blankets are here to help you enjoy the #serenityK.O while the deep conditioner and oils works its magic.

At this stage in your session you are free to enjoy all of the salon amenities and relax.
