Meet Lola — Co-Founder & Stylist

Hair has been part of my life since childhood — from styling my dolls to doing friends’ hair after school. After cosmetology school, I dedicated my career to natural hair because I wanted people to love their texture the way it grows from their head.

Over the years, I’ve worked in top salons across Los Angeles, earned the nickname “The Knot Whisperer,” and guided dozens of Healthy Hair Members toward their goals. Today, as the sole stylist at Serenity Locs and Curls, I offer deeply personalized services focused on gentle care, healthy techniques, and results built on consistency.

Meet LJ — Co-Founder & Manager

While I bring the artistry, LJ brings the structure, vision, and grounding energy that allows the salon to thrive.

Before Serenity Locs and Curls, LJ spent years in leadership roles — from managing Starbucks teams to producing in the film industry. His background in operations, people development, and storytelling shapes the heart of our brand.

Today, LJ is our full-time manager and co-owner. He handles the behind-the-scenes flow that keeps our space running smoothly — from client communication to operations — so I can stay fully present with every person in my chair. He’s passionate about natural beauty, creating positive work environments, and making sure both our team and our clients feel supported.
