Crown Recovery may not be suitable for every guest. During your consultation or appointment, we will assess the condition of your hair and scalp and discuss whether detangling, staged recovery, trimming, or another care plan is the best option for your hair.

In-Person Consultation

Your Crown Recovery Consultation is recommended for severe matting, long-term tangling, scalp concerns, or if you are unsure which service option to choose.

During this appointment, we will review the condition of your hair and scalp, the severity of the tangling or matting, your hair history, your comfort level, and your recovery goals. We will also discuss estimated timing, package options, and whether Affirm financing may be requested.

  • Hair & Scalp Analysis, H.A.S.A.

  • Restoration and detangling assessment

  • Matting severity review

  • Service suitability discussion

  • Estimated timing and pricing overview

  • Healthy hair recovery recommendation

  • Customized Crown Recovery planning

How the Loc Release Journey Works

  • 1. Book Your Consultation or Recovery Session

    If your hair is severely matted or you are unsure where to begin, start with a consultation. If you already know you need a focused detangling appointment, you may book a Crown Recovery 5-Hour Session.

  • 2. Receive Your Service Recommendation

    We will recommend the best option based on the condition, density, length, severity, and complexity of your hair.

  • 3. Purchase Your Package, If Needed

    Larger Crown Recovery Packages are paid before package sessions are booked. Affirm financing may be available by request after your consultation.

  • 4. Schedule Your Service Blocks

    Crown Recovery sessions are booked in 5-hour and 8-hour blocks. Package service blocks are reserved for approved package clients only.

  • 5. Continue With Aftercare

    If your recovery service is completed before all full package blocks are used, any remaining unused full service blocks may be applied toward approved recovery aftercare within 30 days.

  • Crown Recovery Session

    $625 | 5 Scheduled Hours

    For light to moderate matting, minor compression, or tangles that require extra time and gentle care.

    This single-session service includes up to 5 scheduled service hours of gentle detangling and recovery care. It is designed to help release tangles and matting while prioritizing comfort, patience, scalp comfort, and hair preservation.

    Best for:

    Light to moderate matting
    Minor compression
    One focused, tangled area
    Guests who need more than a standard detangling add-on
    Guests who may not need a full package

    Please note:

    Completion is not guaranteed within one session. If additional time is needed, your stylist may recommend booking a Crown Recovery Extension or moving into a Crown Recovery Package for continued care.

    Partial time remaining within the scheduled appointment does not roll over, transfer, or convert to credit.

  • Crown Recovery Extended Package

    $1,250 | Up to 10 Scheduled Hours
    Booked as two 5-hour sessions

    For heavier matting, multiple tangled areas, or hair that may require more than one appointment.

    This package includes up to 10 scheduled service hours, booked as two 5-hour Crown Recovery sessions. It is designed for guests whose hair needs slow, careful release and additional support over multiple appointments.

    Includes:

    Up to 10 scheduled service hours
    Two 5-hour Crown Recovery sessions
    Gentle detangling and recovery care
    Progress check-ins during each appointment
    Healthy hair recovery recommendations
    Aftercare guidance

    Best for:

    Heavier matting
    Multiple tangled sections
    Longer detangling needs
    Hair that needs staged care
    Guests who may need more than one appointment

  • Crown Recovery Intensive Package

    $2,625 | Up to 21 Scheduled Hours
    Booked as two 8-hour sessions and one 5-hour session

    For severe matting, long-term compression, multiple matted sections, or recovery cases that require staged care.

    This package includes up to 21 scheduled service hours, booked as two 8-hour Crown Recovery sessions and one 5-hour Crown Recovery session. It is designed for complex situations where preserving the hair may require extra time, patience, and multiple appointments.

    Includes:

    Up to 21 scheduled service hours
    Two 8-hour Crown Recovery sessions
    One 5-hour Crown Recovery session
    Gentle detangling and recovery care
    Progress check-ins during each appointment
    Healthy hair recovery recommendations
    Aftercare guidance

    Best for:

    Severe matting
    Long-term compression
    Multiple matted sections
    Hair that needs slow, careful release
    Guests who may need a longer recovery process

Important Package Notes:

Crown Recovery services and packages are based on scheduled service time or scheduled service blocks, not a guaranteed completed result.

Completion time may vary based on:

Matting severity, Density, Length, Hair condition, Scalp sensitivity, Product buildup, Shedding, Breakage, Compression, Overall hair and scalp health

If your Crown Recovery service is completed before all package blocks are used, any remaining unused full service blocks may be applied toward approved recovery aftercare within 30 days.

Partial time remaining within a used block does not roll over, transfer, or convert to credit.

For example, if a 5-hour block is scheduled and your recovery service is completed in 4 hours, the remaining 1 hour from that block does not carry over. However, if another full unused 5-hour block remains in your package, that full block may be used for approved aftercare.

Unused time cannot be refunded, transferred, rolled over indefinitely, converted to cash value, or applied toward retail, unrelated services, memberships, or vault packages.

In some cases, not all hair can be safely saved. We will always prioritize honesty, gentleness, scalp comfort, and the overall health of your hair.

Approved Post-Release Care

If you have unused full-service blocks after your Crown Recovery service is complete, they may be used toward approved recovery aftercare within 30 days.

Approved post-release care may include: Cleansing, Conditioning, Gentle detangling, Maintenance trim, Simple styling, Product guidance, Healthy hair care planning

Your stylist will recommend the best aftercare option based on the condition of your hair once the release is complete.

Payment Options

Crown Recovery packages must be paid before package sessions are booked.

Clients may pay in full or request an Affirm financing link after their consultation. If you are interested in using Affirm, please let us know during your consultation so we can send the appropriate payment link if your package is approved.
